Hosted ByMatt Kaplowitz

"Trek Untold" is the Star Trek podcast that goes beyond the stars! This show features guests including character actors, stunt performers, directors, writers, VFX artists, and the behind-the-scenes people who make the Star Trek universe boldly go where no sci-fi franchise has gone before.

Trek Untold-Episode 159: Kay Bess

Kay Bess: Voices Across Space and Time

Kay Bess has been working in the voiceover industry for many decades and has crossed paths with the Star Trek universe in a very special way as the voice of La Sirena's computer on “Star Trek: Picard.” A Trekkie who fell in love with the franchise later in life, Kay tells stories about her unique audition, recording her lines during a global pandemic, and how she got a grip on the infamous technobabble she had to say in every episode.

Besides being La Sirena, you've also heard Kay in video games and animation, including The Last of Us II, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Agents of MAYHEM, Skylanders: Super Chargers, State of Decay 2, Crackdown 3, Final Fantasy XV, Fallout 76, The Loud House, Spirit Riding Free, and Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts.

Check out Trek Long Island this May 31–June 2, 2024, in Hauppauge, New York, to meet the Stars of Star Trek and hang out with this great community of fans.
