A new kids' book is on the way, and Star Trek fans will love it! Written by Angela Dalton and illustrated by Lauren Semmer, “To Boldly Go: How Nichelle Nichols and Star Trek Helped Advance Civil Rights” is coming out in early 2023 and is an important story for children to know.

Angela and Lauren stopped by the show to discuss some of their other children's books, the important books that helped them grow up into who they are today. They also shared the inspiration behind their new book, the process of how it gets made, how involved Paramount and the Star Trek higher-ups were in its production, what they hope to achieve with this book, and why the message is still so relevant today not just for people of color, but everyone!
